Mind your words…

Often than not you’ll always hear people saying words matter however much actions do.

In James 3:5-6
5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

The tongue is really a small organ but it sometimes builds people and sometimes really destroys.

You’ll go to a salon and the salonist will be like, “heeey, kwani unanyonyesha? Hii hairline yako si ameinyonya” And you wonder, before I came to the salon I knew what my hairline wasπŸ™„ i’m not breastfeeding in the first place, I came to do my hair not to answer your questions.i wish she’d ask”Ayaaa, what happened to your hairline” I mean that would be a nicer way to do that than just jumping into conclusions.

You’ll be hanging out with friends and someone randomly says “Na siku izi umenona, your forehead tho, Aki your pimples keep on increasing” And it sucks by the way. You just don’t know my struggles, you ain’t sure if i’m battling to love myself with my added or reduced weight, my forehead because I can’t change it or even my pimples because I’ve tried to work on them and they ain’t ending πŸ™„πŸ˜«.

You’ll be having lunch with your workmates and while ordering you are like, “I don’t do meat” And they all turn looking at you with judgmental eyes then someone just says, “Na hii mwili unatoa wapi” Like seriously πŸ˜’πŸ˜πŸ™„

Let people be I beg, sometimes if you have nothing important to say just shut up. Someone once said this people who talk too much are the same people who are sensitive with words but they don’t seem to learn. Do unto others what you’ll love them to do to you.

Let your words be few and with a bit of wisdom. Don’t just talk because people are talking. Sometimes silence is also an answer or even a contribution to a discussion. Just shut up if whatever you’re about to say will destroy someone. God used words to bring life during creation. How I pray that we may all gain the art of minding our tongue. Lets speak life insteadπŸ™‚
